Update on Cambridge Exam Schedule
Dear Parents and Families,
Cambridge Exams are fast approaching and the exam centres are still filtering information to us so we want to assure you that you will receive complete details before the holiday week-end. The Confirmation of Entry and Timetable for your child is in the process of being completed and we will send this to your home with your child. This includes the venue address, your child’s registration and candidate number and confirmation of the date and time of the exam.
For the KET for Schools exam (June 23), students will do the speaking exam in the morning and reading, writing and listening in the afternoon. The Confirmation of Entry and Timetable will inform you of the time your child needs to be at the venue but in general, he/she will need to be there from 8:30am – 4pm.
For the PET for Schools exam (June 23), students will do the reading, writing and listening in the morning and the speaking in the afternoon. The exact times are on the Confirmation of Entry and Timetable but in general your child will need to be at the venue between 8:30am and 5pm.
For FCE for Schools exam (June 30), students will do the reading, writing and listening from 9am to 12:15pm and the speaking in the afternoon starting at 2pm.
We have been working, in most cases for the whole academic year on student’s progress and have generally observed progress and in many instances, significant progress where students have moved within a level or up to the next level. English as a Second Language and other teachers, particularly EAL teachers have supported students with extensive preparation and practice. Additional focus would always help and it is evident, many self-motivated students are putting in extra work.
At Haileybury, every child matters, every day.
