亲爱的小学部家长们,


天津黑利伯瑞国际学校小学部的同学们又度过了有意义又开心的两周。六一儿童节刚过,一二三年级同学开心地回到了熟悉的校园。远远地,就看到同学们在车上激动地跟熟悉的老师打招呼。对一二三年级的同学们来说,校园的每一处都那么熟悉又那么陌生。石榴树,月季花,薰衣草,爬山虎,一切都好像在对同学们说:同学们,欢迎你们回来!

Our primary school students have spent another twomeaningful and happy weeks at HIST. Following the Children's Day celebrations, studentsin grades one to three happily returned to our school campus. From afar,students were seen excitedly greeting their teachers from their cars. For ourreturning students in grades one to three, every part of the campus wasfamiliar and yet strange. From pomegranate trees, roses, flowers, lavenders andivies…everything seemed to say to them: Welcome back!

夏日的校园,有了同学们的身影,显得格外漂亮。时而静谧,时而热闹,时而传来朗朗读书声和阵阵欢笑声!校园里的教室、操场、体育馆、篮球场、食堂、宿舍、小花园有了同学们的身影,才显出了真正的意义。

The school Summer campus is now adorned with thepresence of our students. There are times of serenity, times of vitality, timesof silent reading and times of laughter! Only when our classrooms, playgrounds,basketball courts, canteens, dormitories, gardens and gymnasium are attended bystudents can our school meaningfully express itself.

无论线上线下,老师们对课堂的准备从来都不曾松懈。每周的教研活动,听评课活动,教学比赛一直在持续进行中。开学后,我们更是迎来每天校长对课堂的观摩,进一步确保每一节课同学们都收获满满。Mr. Rosenfield 给同学们讲的是世界各地的文化和美食。Mr. Williamson 在给同学们一起读一本英文故事书,读书前先讲解一下书中涉及到的语法。Mr. Craddock 给同学们带来了一个剧本,英语能力在表演中提高。一个个英语“小戏精”就是在日常的学习中培养的。Ms. Tokdemir给同学们增强语法练习。Mr. Smith在把易错的几个语法涉及的时态进行横向对比,比较完成后继续练习!

Whether online or offline, our teachers have not stoppedin their preparation and planning. Weekly departmental meetings, listening andevaluation activities and teaching competitions have been ongoing. Since thereturn of our students, our classrooms have welcomed visits from our principalswhich help to ensure that our students continue to receive the most out oftheir education. In the classroom, Mr. Rosenfield gave a talk to students aboutculture and food from around the world. Mr. Williamson read an Englishstorybook to his students and he explained the grammar beforehand. Mr. Craddockused a drama activity to improve the English abilities of his students with thestars of tomorrow being cultivated in the classrooms of today. Ms. Tokdemir strengthenedthe grammatical understanding of her students by explaining particular grammarpoints to students. Mr. Smith compared different commonly made grammar mistakesand then asked his students to continue practicing!

琚老师的科学课上,同学们在“捕捉看不到的空气”!薛老师的科学课上,同学们在学习地球的相关知识!音乐林老师在为同学们用乐器演奏并教同学们演唱英文歌曲《Do Re Mi》。语文沙老师在给同学们讲解古诗《晓出净慈寺送林子方》。

In Mr. Ju's science class, the students caught ‘invisibleair’! In Ms. Xue's Science class, students learnt about our Earth. Musicteacher Ms. Lin played musical instruments to students and taught them how tosing the English song "Do Re Mi". Chinese teacher Ms. Sha explained tostudents the ancient poem "Sending Lin Zi Fang to JingCi Temple at Dawn".

六月二日,一二三年级返校第一天,所有一年级同学及以前加入但未参加红领巾佩戴仪式的所有同学们都光荣地加入了少先队,并戴上了鲜艳的红领巾。虽然不能现场在户外一起进行仪式,但在教室内的”云仪式”同样庄严。奏唱国歌;出队旗,少先队员行队礼;全体唱队歌;少先队员代表给领导老师佩戴红领巾;少先队辅导员宣读批准新队员入队决定;给新队员佩戴红领巾;新队员宣誓,老队员重温誓词;新队员代表讲话;老队员代表讲话;少先队辅导员讲话等环节,一样都没有少。如果能够亲临现场,相信大家一定能感受到同学们内心激动的情绪。成为光荣的少先队员是所有一年级同学们期待已久的梦想。在回到校园的第一天,这个梦想就实现了,真是值得庆祝的喜事!我们一起通过一段主持人的主持词感受一下现场的气氛吧!

On the 2nd of June (when our lowerprimary students returned to the school campus), grade one students and thosewho had joined but had not previously participated in the Red Scarf ceremony honorablypartook in the Young Pioneers event by putting on their red scarves. Although theceremony couldn’t be conducted outdoors, the classroom "cloudceremony" was nonetheless a solemn affair. Activities included the playingand singing of the national anthem, flying the team flag, salutations, singingthe team song, the adorning of lead teachers with red scarves, the induction ofnew members by our pioneer representatives, the honorable wearing of redscarves by our new members, the new members oath of allegiance, the review ofthe oath by senior members, speeches given by new and senior members as well asfrom teacher mentors and other activities. If you were there in person, webelieve you would have been able to feel the excitement from our students. Becominga Young Pioneer is the admirable dream of many of our first-year students andon the first day back, this dream became a reality. It was definitely afantastic occasion! Let’s relive the excitement by reading our host’s speech!

天津黑利伯瑞国际学校致力于坚守我们的信条:每个学生的每一天至关重要。这一信条包括培养学生的个性,关心学生的心理健康和幸福感。黑利伯瑞学校特设心理咨询服务中心,聘请富有经验的专职心理咨询教师组织开展各项工作。服务中心密切关注学生心理动向,对有需要的同学及家长给予及时的帮助。疫情期间,服务中心积极开展线上心理健康教育,通过周刊、讲座等形式向师生传播最“解渴”的心理学资讯和专业技巧,为师生的心理健康保驾护航。随着同学们陆续返校,学校心理小组孙老师和苏老师为同学们开展了一系列心理活动,帮助同学们适应复课生活,让同学们的校园生活更加健康、快乐。

Haileybury International School Tianjin iscommitted to adhering to our belief that “Every student matters everyday”. Thisprinciple includes cultivating our students' personalities and caring for theiremotional wellbeing and happiness. The school has a special psychologicalcounseling service center, which employs experienced full-time psychologists toorganize and carry out various tasks. The service center pays close attentionto our students' emotional health and provides timely help to those who are inneed. During the epidemic period, the service center actively implemented onlineemotional health education programs which presented the most "thirstquenching" psychological data and professional skills to teachers andstudents through weekly lectures and other platforms. All of this was done to improvethe emotional health of our teachers and students. With students returning toschool one after another, Ms. Sun and Ms. Su also implemented a series ofactivities for students to help them adapt back to classroom learning. This resultedin a happier and healthier school campus.

六月一日是儿童节,天津黑利伯瑞国际学校小学部为了进一步丰富学生课余生活,进一步创新“家校生”合作平台的教育形式,搭建亲子之间沟通的桥梁,学部组织了 “跨越时空,共唱童谣” 的活动。同学们跟自己的家人共同玩一个他们小时候的游戏或共同表演一首家长小时候的歌谣。同时,学部还为所有同学们准备精美的六一儿童节礼物!

The first of June was Children's Day. For thepurpose of enriching our students' after-school program, creating moreopportunities for parents to involve themselves and to provide a strongerconnection between parents and students; the primary school organized a "CrossingTime and Space through Singing Nursery Rhymes Together" activity. Studentsand their families played games or sang songs that parents sang when they werechildren. Furthermore, the primary school prepared a beautiful Children's Daygift for all students.

大家好,我是Cici,我来自6年级yellow班,今年13岁。在班中担任班长一职,在学校中担任学生会副主席。我在空闲时间里喜欢画画,同时我也热爱画画。我有一些内向,自己做事情的时候会很安静,但和朋友们在一起时也会有说有笑。我是同学们的好朋友,老师的好助手。我学习成绩优异,每天会认真完成我的学业,仔细地做好每一件我应做的事。谢谢

Everychild is unique, and every person has far-reaching potential. This week, CiciFeng (6 Yellow) would like to share with everyone about herself.

“Hello, my name is Cici. I'm from the 6 Yellowclass. I'm 13 years old. In class, I hold the position of class monitor and atschool I hold the position of vice president of the student union. I likepainting in my spare time. I love painting a lot. I am usually a shy girl. WhenI do things by myself, I will be quiet but when I am with my friends I willtalk and laugh. I am a good friend to my classmates and a good assistant for myteachers. I am good at schoolwork. I will finish my studies carefully every dayand do everything I should do carefully. Thank you.”
